It's the Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop! Woo hoo! And after a weekend of yard work, I finally had a chance to make a card for this special occasion!
I just love this set from Papertrey Ink! It always reminds me of vintage Corelle and Pyrex.
And speaking of Corelle, I've had my eye on this cute set recently. I really do love my Longaberger pottery, but sometimes it's nice to have a lightweight plate for easy every day use. I think the colors in this set are adorable, and I used them as my inspiration for the card!

I love my Corelle plates! Lightweight but sturdy. This IS a very pretty set and your card is fabulous.

ReplyDeleteI just read your entire post (more closely this time...sorry) and I read about your Longaberger pottery. I am also a (blue) spongeware junkie. I started collecting it back, oh..about 25 years ago. I now have more than I need, but I LOVE it and refuse to part with any of it. I have a friend who has offered (more than once) to buy all my plates and bowl, but...NO! I don't use them daily, but i still won't part with them. And holy cow...they're SO expensive now. I went to buy a shaker box (I have the first three sizes) and I couldn't BELIEVE how expensive the 4th biggest box is. WOW! Now I remember why I stopped collecting it. But it sure is beautiful. Which color do you own? Based on your Corelle choice, I'm guessing you're a blue also. I'd love to hear. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteI love your card, such a fun folksy look on your cup. I actually switched to Corelle just for the ease of putting dishes away and setting the table. They are very lightweight, and have worn well over the years. I do have fancy plates i use, but only sometimes. TFS!
