6 A.M. Card For Coach
I got home from a late night meeting at church, followed by a dog walk with flashlight in hand. It was ten o'clock, I was tired, and my brain was fried.
Sam says "Mom, can you make me a Thank You card for Coach? Something in our team colors?"
Aaaargh!
These high school years have me running in circles!
I set my alarm a few minutes earlier, brewed a strong coffee, and got to work.
What stamp set would work well for a card for a cross country coach? Just before nodding off last night, I remembered Papertrey Ink's Heart and Sole. I'm so glad I got this set last spring! I have a lot of occasions that need manly, masculine type images for cards. This set has the imprint of a hiking boot AND a running shoe, with lots of sentiments to go with it.
{Today's Brew: Heart and Sole stamps and dies (PTI), PTI inks and card stock, enamel dots, banner die}
If I had more time, I probably could have made a card with two shoes, die cut, overlapping, and maybe some distress oxide background. But at 6 a.m., this is as clever and creative as I can be.
Thanks for visiting the cafe today!

Your card is wonderful and I can tell you, since I am a cross country coach, that it will be very appreciated! My team gave me cards and gifts today at our annual end-of-season pizza party and I treasure SO much what is written in those cards. I keep every one of them!
ReplyDeleteThat’s awesome, Nicole! When we visited the Burgh this summer, Sam commented on how hard it must be to run in cross country there. Those hills!
