Good morning, cafe friends!
I hope you had a wonderful day of giving thanks to the Lord for all the great things He has done for us this year.
We had a delicious meal that, miraculously, all got done at the precise time it was meant to. Thank you, Mr. Bob Evans, for making a feast to go! I've found that if you serve all the good foods in your most special dishes (my Longaberger pottery serving pieces paired with my Ironstone and brown transferware turkey plates), it makes the meal extra special, even if you did not cook it yourself.
After dinner, we went to see the new movie "Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood". It was a really good movie, and I'm so glad we got to see it as a family. It made me thankful for the gentle and kind people, like Mr. Rogers, who make this world a better place.
Today's card is actually multi-purpose. I made these top folding cards to be used on the tables at my church's Advent Cafe this Sunday.
{Today's Brew: Year of Psalms stamp (PTI), Concord and 9th gingham background stamp, PTI bookmark die, PTI card stock, SU pine dies, SU baker's twine}
And on the back, I typed up some conversation starters for the ladies to participate in at their tables.
I decided to adhere them on the back with just a little adhesive. My thought is that I can remove the paper and use these as Christmas cards when the event is over.
There's still plenty to do before the event on Sunday, but I really get a sense that the women of the church are looking forward to it. This is something new for all of us, and I hope it is a time of joy as we turn our hearts to Christmas.
Blessings on your weekend, cafe friends!
That's a lovely card, and a great idea for a centerpiece/conversation starter. I'm sure the women of your church will be so appreciative of all the effort you've put into this event.
