Beautiful Bouquets Two Ways

Stampin' Up's Beautiful Bouquet is a really sweet stamp set that allows you to mix and match flowers and stems to create your own floral masterpiece. I snagged this one from a buy/sell/used forum last year, taking it off my wish list and happily adding it to my collection!

The first card I made with this set relied heavily on the matching dies. Lots of layering.

One of my favorite things about this stamp set and dies? The little bouquet ribbon and paper wrap options...just a sweet detail!

But after making the card with all the layers, I wondered if I could do the same thing without layers, just stamping.

I started with stamping the green stems first. Next, I stamped the lightest color (yellow), which was a spray of little yellow flowers. Then, I added the other flowers to the ends of the stems until I'd filled the bouquet.

The only way this easy stamping was even possible? Photopolymer clear stamps. I am so glad that SU offers these now. It was a big reason why I gave up being an SU demo back in the day. I wanted the ease of stamping and the less-bulky storage options, as opposed to wood block-mounted stamps.

I like how the ink-blended background gives a nice framing effect without the bulk of added paper and card stock layers.

So there you have it! Beautiful Bouquets, Two Ways!

Have a great weekend, cafe friends!

  1. Pretty! A bouquet is a timeless stamp set! Love seeing those oxide inks! Would you consider doing a post on your ink pad organization? Or even better a post on your card making space. Thanks! 😊
