COVID-19 Plan: Share Easter Joy: Essential!
Last week, I needed a dose of my mother's face. It was the only remedy for cabin fever sadness. It had been over a month since I'd seen my sweet mom, and that was way too long!
I put together a little Easter gift for her and drove down on a nice sunny day for a quick, safe visit. I even made a McDonald's drive thru stop, as she'd been telling me how much she was craving a cheeseburger. ha ha!
This little candy treat bag was one of the gifts. I really do love this bag topper from Sizzix...so fast and fun, and it can be adapted to suit any occasion.
I paired this one with Lawn Fawn papers and some stamps and sentiments from PTI Egg Hunt.
It's pretty funny how our government authorities are deeming what is "essential" and "not essential" right now. For example, in my state, lottery tickets and marijuana are supposedly "essential". But getting my dog's nails trimmed? Not essential. Kayaks and canoes? Essential. Motor boats? Not essential. Alcohol and junk food? Essential. Garden centers and paint departments? Not essential.
My mom and I decided that there are two things that ARE essential. 1.) Seeing each other again (it really did warm our hearts!) and 2.) chocolate.
What are some "essential" things for you right now?
