Photos From Easter

Happy Easter! Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!

Yes, it was a strange Easter. No morning church. No fellowship of believers. But we did celebrate together as a family, with special foods and puzzles and movies.

We started the day with a delicious brunch of bacon and sheet pan pancakes. I found the recipe on Pinterest, and I will never go back to the old one-at-a-time method of pancakes ever again! This was a genius hack, if ever there was one. Pour batter into a parchment lined sheet pan, top half with chocolate chips and half with blueberries, bake, cut and serve. Amazing!

The Easter baskets were light on exciting content this year. I did manage to grab a few chocolate bunnies and eggs, and a gift or two. We couldn't dye eggs, as I currently only have hens eggs in the house. So instead, I pulled out Play Doh. Working with dough can be so therapeutic. Once you start rolling, it's hard to stop!

Easter dinner was turkey tenderloin, green beans and bacon, and sweet potato stuffing, along with sourdough rolls. Simple, using what we had on hand after the last grocery shopping trip. We need to venture out today for a trip to Aldi, masks in place. Wish us luck!

Dessert? Two layer carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Yum! It was a carb overload day. I don't even want to think about how many pounds I will have packed on after the Stay in Place is over!

Saw this yesterday, and it really says it all:

Hope your day was filled with blessings!

Stay positive, cafe friends!
