Slimline Dandelions
What's better than one slimline card? How about TWO slimline cards? 😀
I had all the supplies laying about and thought "Hey, why not make another?" So I did.
I used the stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn called Just Dandy. I got these during my birthday month (thank you, LF, for fun birthday surprises!), and still had not used them.
We are in full dandelion season now. I am pretty consistent with digging the dandelions out of my yard. If I do it a few times a week in the early spring, then I usually don't have a big dandelion problem for the rest of the growing season. I'm old school that way. Less chemicals.
I had to stamp the envelope, too!
I added a little white embossing to make it look as if some of the dandelion seeds were blowing in the wind. It's subtle, but it's there.
{Today's Brew: Just Dandy stamps and dies (Lawn Fawn), Lawn Fawn scallop frame die, LF Banner dies,MFT stencils, Distress Oxide inks, COPIC markers, white embossing powder}
I made this card for my Mom, who used to love showing my babies dandelions and rubbing them on their chins to see if they liked butter. Sweet memories!
This morning, I am going to the local outdoor farmer's market which opens today (yay for OPEN!), and then I'm heading over to Carrigan Cafe for a Mexican Latte (yay for OPEN!). It's part of my "Get out and be safe, but don't live in fear" strategy for keeping sane when the world around you looks and acts pretty cray cray.
Blessings on your Saturday, cafe friends!

I love that size of card and I love your card! My husband digs out dandelions, too, because we don't want to use chemicals on our yard. You're so blessed your farmer's market is open. Ours made the decision (last month!) to cancel and I hope they reconsider that. I love going.
ReplyDeleteGreat card and envelope! I never think to stamp on the envelope, and it looks so well co-ordinated. I'll have to remember to do it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet card! Yay for getting out. A coffee from a coffee shop sounds wonderful- I hope you enjoyed yours!
