Lavender

I had a bumper crop of lavender this year. I decided to harvest it and let it dry. I may turn them into sachets.

This is English Hidcote lavender, which always has a lovely scent. My sister, Tina, gave me a start from her garden when I moved here three years ago, and it has done very well.

So well, in fact, that I discovered it growing in the cracks of our paver sidewalk. How funny! I carefully plucked these out this week and transplanted them to the front yard garden in the hopes they will grow there, too.

Not that long ago, I finally added PTI's Make It Market Herb Garden to my collection, thanks to someone who was selling theirs on the forums. Yay! But sadly, this set has no lavender. Wah! That's okay. I used the sweet Lavender stamp set from Hero Arts and paired it with the stencil from the PTI kit.

I really like the simplicity of this card.

Blessings on your Saturday, cafe friends!

  1. Have you seen these, Mary Rose? THey have to be made while the lavender is fresh though. Would love to get my hands on some of these wands!
