Playing With Pumpkins

Have you noticed? Pumpkins and gourds can be found in so many colors now! Gone are the days of orange-only pumpkins. Now, you can find them in white, green, bluish green, bluish gray, pinkish, peach...so many different varieties!

I purchased this stamp and die set used (monthly Hero Arts kit) from the buy/sell forums this summer. I always thought the pumpkins in this set were pretty.

I was playing with some different color combinations this week. These are three-step stamps, so it takes some planning when choosing the inks.

I thought these pumpkins paired really nicely with the beautiful papers from Simple Stories Autumn Splendor collection.

Autumn arrived on the calendar this week, and it seemed as if a switch was flipped and the landscape changed, too. The leaves are now turning to their autumn colors, the flowers in the fields are now golden and purple, and farmers are selling trucks and flatbeds full of pumpkins.

Happy Pumpkin Spice Season, cafe friends!

  1. A very pretty card! I have been enjoying different pumpkin colors too. It’s fun for fall home decor too.
