I am having a fan girl moment.
Over at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Facebook group, we were paired with our holiday swaps for the month of December. No biggie. Make a coffee-themed card and add a gift (for the holidays).
No biggie. Except the recipient of my card and gift this month will be Tenia Nelson.
😄
And I am a HUGE Tenia Nelson fan!
If you don't know her, you need to know her. Not only does she craft AWESOME cards, but she is also an amazingly talented jazz musician, and just a really cool person. Like, if I lived closer, I know we'd be BFFs. 😁
When I want to make a card that is clean and simple but with a lot of POP, I tell myself "Just channel your inner Tenia Nelson". That usually means three things:
1.) Use a neutral backdrop with a pop of color.
2.) Keep a fair amount of "space" on the card front.
3.) Don't forget the washi!
For this card, I wanted it to reflect all three...along with a little musical score as a nod to the recipient.
{Today's Brew: Merry Mugs stamps and dies (PTI), PTI Songbirds stamp and die, Snowflake stencil (Simple Stories), Lawn Fawn stitched frame die, washi, Simple Stories enamel dots and paper}
Thanks for visiting the café today!
