Coffee-Themed Valentines

Good Monday, café friend!

I had a fun weekend crafting in the studio with some new goodies that just arrived. I managed to score a Hero Arts My Monthly Hero kit from January 2019. Hooray for the buy/sell forums! This kit has the cutest stamps and dies that feature a flower shop.

For this card, I combined the kit with another Hero Arts kit that features coffee. I just LOVE this die that makes a sidewalk easel-style sign!

So fun! I cut two easel dies out of red cardstock. Inside, I used a smaller piece of white cardstock, scored at the top, and glued the easel die to the front and back. And look! They stand up perfectly!

For the coffee cup (which is an outline stamp), I used a heart stamp from the kit, carefully repeating the pattern and using a little masking with a piece of scrap paper. Then, I went back and filled in the hearts with my white gel pen and added a few polka dots, too.

The scribbles on the chalkboard frame were hand drawn with the gel pen.

I think I will be sending these a Galentine's cards to some women I know and love.

Have you started on Valentine's Day crafting yet?
