A Heart of Gratitude

Last year, one of my sweet church friends started sending me two subscriptions to magazines...Midwest Living and Southern Living. She had one of those "renew yours and gift a friend" deals, and thought that the fellowship lady at church might like them. She was right!

During a year of social isolation, those monthly magazines were such a fun distraction. When I was finished reading them, I would pass them along to my mom and mother-in-law. Those magazines got a lot of mileage!

I decided to send her a fun thank you today. I saw her at church on Sunday and thought "Hey, send Cheryl a card this week!" I think it is always fun to get a card or note out of the blue, don't you? We all need cheering up, and it's nice to express our gratitude every chance we get.

We have had a lot of purple finch visiting our feeder this winter. This card was inspired by them. I added a few rhinestone twinkle hearts to the wreath, too.

{Today's Brew: Spring Woods (PTI), Twig Wreath (PTI), PTI inks and card stock, Distress Oxide ink, Glimmer Mist, rhinestone hearts}

I've received some really beautiful "surprise" cards in the mail from forum friends this past month. So inspiring! It always reminds me to "Put a stamp on it" and get those cards mailed. Four in the mail today...yay!

  1. Such a pretty card, and so spring-like. Nice to see on the day Punxsutawney Phil lets us know that there will be six more weeks of winter. Though I do love a snowy day!
