Tomorrow is Wear Red for Women's Heart Health Day! This is part of the American Heart Association's Go RED campaign.
Heart disease is still the number one cause of death among women in the United States. It is important to know the causes (hypertension, obesity, genetics) as well as the symptoms, which can be much different than a man's heart attack symptoms.
I am taking my health seriously this year. Last year, we were all staying indoors, just trying to avoid COVID. But this year, I am making doctor's appointments and getting stuff done! Mammogram is scheduled, and I've had one doctor visit this month, with another scheduled for next week.
I made these fun earrings for the women in my life. I love my sisters and nieces (and Moms, of course!), and want them to be healthy, too!
I'm taking these to my Mom's house today. I'm making us a pot of White Chicken Chili for lunch...good for a cold winter's day! I let all the ladies know that they can stop by some time and pick up their earrings when they visit Mom, too.

I'm getting back to my daily walk. I've let it slide. Love your earrings!
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Susie! Hard to do in this Polar Vortex!
DeleteSuch sweet earrings! ❤️❤️ I am working on eliminating dairy and gluten. Just about there with the dairy and then I will work on the gluten. I feel better already. 😊
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Chris! I think it's been hard to completely eliminate both, but reducing them has helped me so far. I think a little can go a long way. Small steps and progress!
