Summer Reading and Road Trips

We've had our fair share of road time this summer. Lots of trips here, there and everywhere.

I always keep my project bag handy with a stitching project, ready to go!

I also like to have a good supply of reading material.

A lot of the books I wanted to add to my summer reading list were checked out at the library. No worries. I just put my name on the list.

Of course, they all came in the same week. Aack! Time to get busy!

We took a road trip yesterday to see Ed's Dad for his 87th birthday.

I looked at the cards in my stash, and none of them seemed to say "Dad". So instead, I went down to the craft studio after church and made this one. I had the embossed panel ready, and I added the birds and sentiment. This card looks just like my father-in-law.

The good news is that I was able to finish a book on the five and half hour round trip journey, and do a little stitching on my Flea Market Flowers sampler, too.

Happy Monday, café friends!

  1. I spy The Splendid and the Vile in your pile of books. That was one I couldn't put down. Eric Larson is a fantastic author!
