Outside My Window

It's Friday, café friends!

Today I have two cards to share, both of them using the Catherine Pooler stamp set and dies from Outside Your Window.

I love this set so much!  You can close the shutters and mail it in a standard A2 envelope, or you can keep the shutters open and mail in a slightly larger envelope. I added the lace doily curtains for an extra cottage-y touch.

And here's a view from outside my window this week:

Smoke from forest fires out west and along the Canadian border have turned our sunrises and sunsets pink. One evening, the sun looked like a fireball! This was from a sunrise a few days ago.

We've had a return to milder weather this week. I am starting to pick zucchini and tomatoes from the garden now, but still no cucumbers. Soon! I was able to stop in to a local farm stand and get Michigan peaches. Ah-mazing! Nothing like the peaches you buy at the grocery store (they don't even smell like peaches!). These are fragrant and juicy and just plain special. One of the blessings of summer.

Hope you are feeling the blessings of summer, too!

  1. You are so right about the peaches! Our farmer's market now has them, along with cucumbers and corn (2 more things I won't buy in the grocery store). To be fair, though, our grocery store has been carrying local produce for the last couple years (truly local....within 25 miles of the store). We live just a bike's ride from 2 amazing farmer's markets so I feel spoiled for 6 months of the year!
