Tea and Sympathy

I've had to make a lot of sympathy cards this summer. A lot. Just this week, I mailed out six.

It's been a tough summer of loss for a lot of people I know.

I made this card for one of the women in my Coffee Lovers FB group who recently lost her husband.

I used some papers and elements from Simple Stories Vintage Cottage collection.

{Today's Brew: Mama Elephant teacup and die, PTI Graceful Greetings sentiment and die, The Greetery coaster die, Simple Stories papers, ribbon, CP ink}

When I am having a tough week, I like to sit down and mail out cards. It cheers me up to know that I may cheer others up, too. So this week, I mailed out over two dozen cards. Birthday, sympathy, get well, thinking of you. Lots of occasions. It took a lot of time to sit down, write a note, address and stamp those envelopes, but in the end, it is so worth it. Reaching out is so important these days, and I had a lot of cards built up in my stash that needed to go off to good homes.

  1. You made many feel comforted and cheered, I'm sure. It is soothing to mail out cards....gets the mind off self and on to others.
