Welcome! It was a busy week here as school kicked off and summer came to a close.
My baby started his last first day of school.😭 Bittersweet!
I went to his first cross country meet of the season. It was a beautiful day at a beautiful park, made all the more beautiful by the beautiful coffee truck that made me a mocha latte!
I pickled some jalapenos from the garden!
I found some fun things at Dollar Tree, including these strawberry candies that Sam had to have because they reminded him of church with Grandma. And speaking of Grandma, we celebrated my Mom's 88th birthday this week! So dear to our hearts. I bought her the candies, too!
I played Jessica Fletcher as roving reporter this week. 😄 I literally got on my bike and went around town interviewing parents and kids about their first day of school experiences. Fun! I had three articles to work on this week. Busy month for writing!
I fed the birds, and some of the bigger varieties, too.
I watered the garden a lot. It is finally cooler, but still a bit dry. Remember those seeds I planted that did nothing? A few of them decided to grow and bloom after all.
I vacuumed, swept and wiped down the front porch and swapped out some summer for a little peek of fall.
I couldn't resist this funny gnome. Made me think of the gnomie in my garden!
I made a few more cards that I will share this week.
Time flies when you are having fun!
Blessings on your weekend, café friends!
Lots of things going on for you. Hope this week is another good one!
ReplyDeleteYou too, Susie!
DeleteLooks like a good week! Do you wear gloves when pickling the jalapeños? I was thinking about making some for my husband, but after chopping some up for dinner my fingers were throbbing and none of the remedies seemed to work.
ReplyDeleteI always put my glasses on before I start chopping, as I have heard horror stories about peppers getting in your eyes. Thus far, I have never had a bad reaction, and I don't wear gloves. I think maybe some varieties are worse than others?
