Holiday Stitching

 

I finished up the last of this set of Lori Holt's Stitch Cards over the weekend. There's something fun and retro about these patterns. They remind me of the old Bucilla ornament kits that were so popular back in the seventies and eighties. (I think you can probably still buy them today!)

Later this week, I will finish them off with backer boards and ricrac trim and hang them on the magnetized frame in the basement.

December has been a good month to scale back, rest, and reconnect with family. I've been finishing up some projects, mailing Christmas cards, reading books, making soups...just settling in to the rhythms of this new season.
