Woodland Ornaments

I have a lot of leftover wood slices from the Advent Café at our church. Attendance was not what I'd hoped for (probably half as many women as had attended in 2019, but that's to be expected in a COVID holiday). The event was a lot of work for one person, and I will not attempt it again next year.

One thing I did discover at the event? The ladies loved making crafts! So in 2022, I plan on sponsoring "Crafternoons" where we can gather once a month for coffee, cookies, and crafting.

I am decorating a little differently this holiday...a little more scaled back and subdued to go along with my mood. I'm not putting out the fancy ceramic nativity, I'm not loading the tree with every ornament we own. I am just putting out some greenery with lights, and adding a few "woodland" inspired accents that all came out of one holiday tote.

I think I was inspired by this $3 Gnome that I found at the Target Dollar Spot. He made me smile.

I used a variety of dies to make these ornaments today, The words are from PTI, and the greenery and pinecone dies are from Stampin' Up.

I love using things from my stash to decorate my home!

I am going to make some more "Hope" ornaments to give to my sisters, Mom, and brother-in-law. We are meeting for dinner and for a midweek church service where the pastor is speaking about my sweet sister, Tina. I thought it would be a nice reminder for us this year.

Blessings, café friends!
