A Year of Changes

 

This weekend, we moved our oldest son, Luke, to the Indianapolis area. Another son has gone back to being a Hoosier. Wah!

It is bittersweet. I am happy for him...new girlfriend, new job, new opportunities. And of course, he's right down the road from his brother, John, and close to all his friends from high school and college. 

But no longer right down the road from us. 

I guess we'll be making more weekend trips to Indiana this year.

This is also Sam's final year of high school, and we won't know where he will end up going to college this fall for a few more weeks yet. It could be Michigan. It could be Indiana. (Just crossing my fingers and hoping it's not Colorado!)

Losing my sister just a few months ago, shifts in family dynamics. Oh, and my husband started a new position with the company this month. And I'm also writing a new regular weekly feature for our local paper.

A lot of changes in a short amount of time. 

Change is inevitable. You can try to fight it, but you will just end up miserable. It's best to just go with the flow and see where life takes you.
