In The Garden

The garden has been lush this month! Everything has grown so much during this mild summer.

I planted flats of wax begonias, purple salvia, and white salvia at the end of spring. For the longest time, they looked a little sad. And then, before I knew it, this little gnome was completely covered and I had to move him to a new spot!

I had a bare spot that needed filling, so at the end of last month I found these coleus in the garden center at Walmart. The right color, the right height. Perfect! Coleus are always gorgeous at the end of summer, beginning of autumn.

I typically give everything a shot of Miracle Gro once a month. I think it helps, especially with the annuals.

Soon, it will be time to add the pumpkins and mums. For now, we are enjoying butterflies and blooms.
