Glues and Adhesives

Have you noticed? Glue has made a comeback in the crafting world. I see so many card makers using glue in a variety of ways now...for die cuts, for panels, you name it. Where the ATG gun and Glue Dots were once king and queen, glue has come on the scene to say "Hey, why not use me instead? I'm probably a lot cheaper, too!"

I was never an ATG user...too big and clunky for me. But I do love my glues! I've always been a fan of Tombo Mono Multi for so many uses. Last year, I started using Nuvo glue, and I do like it. The tip is fine, and I often use this for fussy little die cuts.

Forum friends have been raving about the Bearly Arts glue, so I finally ordered some this month. Are you using this glue? I haven't tried it yet, but when I do, I will give you my review.

I tend to be a fan of adhesives that are readily accessible. For this reason, I love Scotch products. You can get them at a lot of places...Walmart, JoAnn's, Meijer. The tape runner also has refills, which I try to buy whenever I find them. Not too expensive, too.

I do love foam dimensional tape! Whenever I find it at the Dollar Tree, I pick it up. It comes in a three pack with various widths, and it does a good job for the price!

And when you really need something to stick together in a heavy duty way, Sookwang's tape is always the way to go. It's great for projects like boxes.

Have you been using glue more recently? What's your adhesive of choice?

  1. Liquid Glue (Tombow Mono-Multi, specifically) has been my adhesive of choice for years. Someone in one of my cardmaking classes loves Bearly Art glue and there was a discussion on Splitcoaststampers recently about glue and Nuvo was a clear winner. I donate platelets once a month and the center randomly surprises me with Amazon gift cards. I think I'll use them to try some of these glues.
