Apron Love

Do you love aprons? I do! There's something so sweet about an apron that harkens back to a simpler time. They are practical, useful, and cute all rolled into one.

I have a few favorites that I keep handy. This apron is in my craft room. I use it when I am getting extra messy. It was a purchase back when I was a demo for Stampin' Up.

The colors remind me of the project I finished stitching this week.

I have one more "card" to finish in this Lori Holt set of kitchen-inspired patterns.

I was having a stressful day yesterday, and I found that carving out just an hour to sit down and stitch gave me a little comfort.

  1. I love aprons, too. I have a gingham one that I made in 7th grade homemaking class, and two that my mother made. Keepsakes, for sure.

  2. Your stitching projects are always fun to see. How do you use them when finished? There's a needlepoint store in Sewickley, just a bike ride away from me, and I've often thought about picking up a little kit like the ones you stitch.
Your apron is an exact match to one I have (except mine is leopard-print with pink trim). I'm wondering if the same person made it (I bought it on Etsy several years ago)!
The one I wear the most was given to me years ago by a woman with whom I had volunteer lunch-duty at our kids' elementary school. She had it printed to say, "Stop me before I volunteer again!" because she thought I was ALWAYS volunteering lol (I did enjoy it). She attends our church and we still laugh about our days together working the school lunches.
