Country Home

Here we are in the middle of the week, and I feel like I am still playing catch-up from this weekend. It happens. My calendar is full of appointments and deadlines and To Do's this month.

I got in to the craft room last night and it felt good to just create something!

I had started these two cards but needed to finish them.

The first card features SU's Country Home. I colored this one with COPIC markers and just fussy-cut the images. That tile embossing background is a really cool effect. This card features cooler colors, while the next one features warmer colors.

For the flowers and stems, I paired SU's Country Home pitcher with SU's Beautiful Bouquet stamps and dies.

Sometimes, I will pass up a stamp set because it doesn't have coordinating dies. But you know what? If it is a simple image, it really isn't that hard to cut it out with a good pair of scissors and a steady hand.

Hope your week is going well. I have photos to share from our trip to Indy last weekend, along with another stitching project or two. We are expecting another snow storm this Friday. I can't believe it! We still have to clean up the downed trees from last week's storm. sigh! At least Jemma is getting her snow fun in this winter.

How many days until spring is officially here? Twelve? Let the countdown begin!

  1. We are still recovering from two snowstorms in a row. We haven't had mail delivery in almost two weeks! At least delivery trucks are now allowed up the mountain. Hopefully, the old mail will make its way up here soon. Now we're facing two big rain events with possible flooding. Crazy weather. Yes, where is spring?

  2. Seeeeeee, you should never have left Pittsburgh lol. The winter here has been incredibly mild. I've lived here all of my 47 years and don't ever remember one this mild.
Your coloring is so good! And that embossing folder looks fabulous on your cards!
You say your calendar is full, but you seem like someone who knows how to enjoy life - good family relationships, deep faith, meaningful work, and fulfilling hobbies.
