Easter weekend was a whirlwind of activity! It began on Saturday, with preparations for our church's Easter morning breakfast.
We had a wonderful turnout for this event! I think we served over 125 people!
Pancakes, eggs, sausage and pastries! And chocolate. Did I mention lots of chocolate?
Back at home, we had a lovely traditional dinner of ham, potatoes, green bean casserole, and cornbread casserole. I topped it all off with homemade carrot cake!
And here is the fancy centerpiece that my son, Luke, built for us.
We managed to fit in lunch at the local café and bakery, a trip to a new game shop in town, a trip to a ball game in Detroit (for Ed and Sam, that is), and a pizza and board game night...all within a 24 hour period. Whew!
Spring is here, the flowers are blooming, the birds are singing, the grass is greening, and Christ is risen! Alleluia!
Such sweet blessings. Sounds like life is good!
