Happy Rainy Friday! It looks like an all day soaker. I think I will drink coffee, read books, and make cards today.
You cannot beat Hello Bluebird for cuteness. I just love the artwork. I got this set during their super sale at the end of last year, and am playing with it for the first time. It's a good set for spring. I paired it with some fun papers from Catherine Pooler (A Little Drizzle). I picked the papers first, then matched COPIC markers to the shades in the paper.
My reading list has gotten off to a slow start this year. Other than my Bible, I haven't been reading much lately. I think it's because I've been doing so much writing. But I hear the cranky voice of one of my college professors scolding me.
"Writers are readers or they are nothing," he would say.
True that.
This week, I am reading C.S. Lewis. It's amazing how these stories written over 70 years ago still seem so timely and applicable today. The Screwtape Letters? Genius.
I hope your weekend is filled with good books and good coffee or tea. And maybe some crafting time, too.

And this is why rainy days are my favorite days. I enjoy C.S. Lewis's books but The Screwtape Letters was one I had a difficult time understanding. Have you taken Hillsdale College's course on C.S. Lewis?
ReplyDeleteI started the course, but I don't think I finished it. It was an overview of The Abolition of Man, and that one was some tough intellectual reading!
