The farm fresh goodies are coming to my door every Friday. Yay! This was last week's haul. I am a bit of an apple snob, and we all know that apples are not currently "in season". But these Evercrisp apples are from last fall, they store well, and they were delicious!
On a side note: Try roasting radishes in a 400 degree oven, a little salt and pepper and olive oil. Amazing!
Here's one of the ways I used asparagus and kale. Eggs baked in a muffin tin!
Simple. About six eggs scrambled, some milk and cheese, salt and pepper and fresh herbs from the garden. Spray a muffin tin with nonstick spray, put kale and cheese in the bottom of each cup, top with egg mixture and place cooked asparagus on top. Bake until set, about 20 minutes. These were great reheated the next day, too! (I used Colby Jack cheese, but next time I think I'd use feta).
So there are the eggs. But where are the chickens?
Here they are!
This Stamp and Stencil duo is a free gift with purchase this month when you spend $100 at Taylored Expressions. No, I did not spend $100 at TE, but I wanted to, if only to get this adorable stencil! Lucky for me, someone sold me theirs.
I haven't been excited about summer releases from any of the crafty companies lately. But this one? I had to have it! I'm keeping fingers crossed that I can eventually get the sentiment set that goes with it. In the meantime, I used a few TE sentiments from my stash.
The stencils were easy to work with, and it was fun adding details with the little stamps. Just think of all the different colored chicken combos! I'm going to try fussy cutting a few chickens, too.
That card really says good morning!
ReplyDeleteWell, this post had it all - amazing farm-fresh food ideas and SUPER CUTE cards! I cannot believe how adorable your cards are - the images, the background - but I especially love that sun and those chickens.
