The dog days of summer are here.
Because Jemma is part-Yeti, she is not a big fan of hot weather. It makes her lazy. Frankly, it makes me lazy, too. But there are a few things she likes about this season.
Pup cups are a big treat! And guess what I found at Aldi last week? Ice cream treats for dogs! Woo hoo! She gives these treats two paws up.
She also loves her swimming pool!
Such a sweet face. Can you see how she’s starting to look a little older? Her muzzle is turning white now, and she’s starting to slow down.
But we still have moments of joyful energy!
One thing we don’t like about summer? Thunderstorms. We had one rumble through yesterday afternoon, and it knocked out power. Here we are, 18 hrs later, and still nothing. I can’t drive anywhere (car is in the garage and we can’t seem to open the door without power), I can’t let Jemma outside without a leash (no power for the Invisible fence!), and the biggest problem at the moment? I cannot make coffee! Waaah!
Looks like I will be taking a bike ride into town for a spicy Mexican latte..and lunch! Turning lemons into lemonade, my friends!

We have occasional power outages, but they don't usually last very long. We do, however, have a generator if we need it. I can't imagine going 18 hours without electricity! Btw, Jemma is adorable!
