Blessed Monday, café friend!
I read that the Upper Peninsula of Michigan saw snow flurries last week. No snow here any time soon. We are having a slow autumn, and I don't think we've seen peak leaf color yet. I love a slow autumn! It's chilly, but beautiful.
I made a LOT of Christmas cards this weekend. This one is a fun top fold.
I used a sentiment from Papertrey Ink Year of Psalms, and I stamped it directly onto the patterned paper panel.
The sentiment inside is from Concord and 9th Peace on Earth. Papers and enamel dots are Simple Stories Winter Farmhouse, and die cuts are from Hello Bluebird.
Did you know that we are officially in the month of Crocktober? 😀 It's soup season! I think I made three last week! Chicken tortilla, Minestrone, and Italian Meatball soup. Yum!
I think this week I will make sweet potato stew.
What's cookin' in your kitchen?
My crockpot just quit working yesterday while I was using it to make beef broth - boo! It's only a couple years old. Maybe it's tired of working so hard (I do use it a lot). Well, the knuckle bones are now in a pot on the stove, simmering. The broth will be used to make vegetable soup from the bits and pieces left from my farmer's market buy. But tonight, I'm grating a zucchini to make squash patties. Growing up, my Greek neighbor made them and they are one of my favorite dishes still. Sweet potato stew sounds delicious. The recipes you've posted have all been great!
ReplyDeleteAt the farmer's market, one vendor is selling sweet potatoes the size of footballs - I had no idea they could grow that large!
I've enjoyed all the Christmas cards using your paper stash. It's inspiring me to dig into the box of 6x6 pads. Vikki H
