Four Dozen Cookies

I made four dozen cookies this weekend.

Paper cookies, that is!

A few months back, Catherine Pooler had a virtual retreat called Baking Spirits Bright. It included cookie and baking related stamps, along with a new ink called Gingerbread.

I didn't participate in the retreat. I really didn't need everything with the kit, and I already owned a similar stamp set called Nordic Stars that looked a lot like cookies. But I did need that new ink pad!

They finally released the new ink pad a few weeks ago, and it is a lovely color!

I stamped the stars in Gingerbread, then added the "frosting" using WOW embossing white puff powder.

My plan is to use these in a bunch of coffee-themed Christmas cards that I want to make for one of my FB groups. I'm hoping to get started on them today.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Snow came on Sunday, with another dusting overnight. So pretty! I think I will brew up a gingerbread latte and do some crafting today.

  1. I hope you show the finished cards with these Nordic stars! They really do look like cookies (I saw your blog post title and the photo and thought they were cookies). The candles in the window in the last photo remind me so much of how my mom decorated for Christmas when I was growing up. She put those candles in every window of our home and they took up every electrical outlet (their home is old so there aren't many to begin with)! Snow....*sigh*.....a dusting came here to Pittsburgh and I'm SO happy about it! No sarcasm, I really am happy!
