I've been reading this sweet devotional this Advent season by Hannah Anderson. (No, not the holiday pajama maker! Different spelling! )
This sweet book takes a look at nature and the Good News message. It's been a great meditation on the Word, and the illustrations are just lovely.
I made a little nature-inspired craft this week. I saw the idea on Pinterest to use snips of arbor vitae to create mini Christmas trees. The original poster used two sheets of waxed paper to create the bookmarks. Well, I tried to get that paper to melt and fuse, but it just didn't cut it. So instead, I mounted on card stock, stamped a sentiment, added some sequins, and then wrapped it all in clear contact paper.
It worked much better.
Simple and sweet, the way the holidays should be.
Yes, sweet and simple! Agreed! Your last sentence made me realize that that is why I enjoy your blog - you write (very well) about the sweet and simple things of life. You are gifted at noticing and savoring them. Have you ever heard of a magazine called Bella Grace? It's about enjoying the simple pleasures.
ReplyDeleteThank you, sweet Nicole! I do like the Bella Grace magazine. So many pretty photos!
