Another Christmas has come and gone. It was a very nice holiday, with a lot of eating and drinking and gifts and laughter. And now, I am exhausted. I think all of the days leading up to Christmas, I was in overdrive...making over one hundred handmade cards and getting them to the post office, buying groceries and gifts, wrapping, cleaning house, fixing fancy foods, singing with the choir, visiting with our elderly moms, writing holiday articles. Go, go, go.
And now, it has all come to a screeching stop and I feel a bit like I have whiplash.
The week ahead looks to be calm. I plan on sipping coffees and teas from new new mug (thank you, Sam!), reading a few books to finish off my 2023 list, and just generally being lazy at home in my comfy new slippers.
It sounds like the perfect way to wind down the year.
