Still making cards!
This week, Operation Patterned Paper was employed to brew a fun batch of holiday coffee-themed cards.
Do you remember when I made four dozen paper Christmas cookies last month? Every one of them got put to good use!
When making lots of cards, I highly recommend crafting in chunks. One day, making cookies using stamping, heat embossing and die cutting. Another day, stamping and coloring mugs with COPICS while watching holiday shows on television. Another day, cutting up all the card bases and paper pieces to size.
This makes assembly so fast and fun.
I am also a big fan of Michael's Recollections Glitter card stock. All the colors! This one was perfect for giving that sugary sparkly backdrop that these cookies and coffees needed.
The sentiments are from Copictopia Creative, and they are so fun! I stamped them, punched them out with the SU label punch, and inked the edges.

I decided not to bake cookies for the family this Christmas, and for good reason.
In the past, I did a ton of baking, and then my husband would come home from work on Christmas Eve with MORE cookies and cakes, gifts from co-workers. Too many sweets in the house!
So this year, I thought "Nope! I'm going to wait and see what happens."
And sure enough, the sweets have started to roll in! Thus far, we have received not one but TWO caramel apple coffee cakes, and a big box of imported Baklava that looks a-mazing.
Mary Rose, those cards are ADORABLE!!! I am going to look for that stamp set now. You need affiliate links on your blog for me lol. I've bought quite a few things just from seeing them on your blog! I love that glitter paper, too, and will have to hunt it down.
ReplyDeleteThe sweets thing happened at our home, too, which is why I never baked. With his employer making his department all remote, though, we haven't gotten those goodies for a couple years now, so this year I'm baking. It was SO FUN to see what Brian would come home with each night in the week or two before Christmas! I miss that!
