Sparkle

 

We recently finished a deck refresh here at the cottage. One of the things that it desperately needed: new caps for the posts. The old caps were made of wood, and they were rotting and falling off one by one.

Ed had the great idea to replace them with these solar powered metal caps. He picked them up from Home Depot (I think we had to go to several stores to get as many as we needed!)

As we sit out on the deck in the evening, we like to watch them come on as it gets darker. The lights flicker on, the fireflies drift up and twinkle...it's magical.

A little sparkle as we enjoy these long summer days.
