Three Sympathy Cards

 

Sympathy cards are tough. You want something that is somber and reflective, nothing too bright and cheery. It has to set the right mood.

This stamp set from the Greetery is called Reflections, and I think it makes a very nice sympathy card. Not too masculine or feminine.

This one is a bit more feminine, but it's for a friend who lost her mother recently. I used watercolors and added some splattering. (Taylored Expressions Field Notes)

And this one kind of straddles the line between masculine and feminine. I used watercolors to paint the flower (Taylored Expressions Wheatfields), but then popped it up on a panel where I stamped a backdrop using The Greetery's Sunset Skies.

I think I need to spend a day making some sympathy cards to add to my stash. I never seem to have them when I need them.
