The first tomatoes of the season! Yay!
Early Girl is a great variety to get this party started. I picked them in the morning, and we were eating them at dinner.
I tossed them with fresh basil from the garden, cucumbers, avocado, a little olive oil, fresh mozzarella balls, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Perfect.
The other side of the garden, however, is getting too much attention from the deer. My tiny cherry tomatoes and sweet sun gold tomatoes are getting eaten at the tops. Not sure how many I will be picking from these plants this summer.
Oh well. Mama's got to feed her babies.
