The Tail End of Summer

It's definitely feeling like the tail end of summer here in Michigan. There are signs everywhere. Back to school advertisements. Stores filled with autumn decor. Even the occasional crimson leaf on the sidewalk.

I bought my first Michigan apple yesterday. Ginger Gold! Crisp, tart, and delicious!

This time of year, when it feels like we are in flux, I start to get a little anxious for the normal routines of the school year again. Back to Bible studies and book clubs, tutoring and school events, and all of the fun things that fill our calendars the rest of the year.

I decided to start a Bible study at home this summer. I need to be in the Word, not just on Sundays, but all the other days of the week, too. I get a little lazy sometimes. This is a good way to exercise those faith muscles.

Still enjoying the summer sun, but also looking forward to days ahead.
