Beautiful Branches of Kindness
One of my favorite "new to me" stamp companies last year was Concord and 9th. I picked up quite a few sets from the buy/sell forums, and also from great sales. They offer the kind of stamps that have a lot of versatility, like this set. Beautiful Branches.
I saw a similar card on The Greetery blog, made by Norine at the Velvet Lemon. I decided to use it as my inspiration, but pair it with the things I already have...Frugal Chick style!
I think the Distress Oxide inks, paired with the watercolor paper, give this a unique look.

You know, the more I look at those leaves, the more I'm thinking they might make some really pretty oranges. I will have to give it a try!
Thanks for visiting the cafe today!

I love seeing your creations with the Distress Oxide inks! I am still hemming and hawing about which colors to start with, but I figured I would think of a few card designs I would like to try and get those colors.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty card! Thank you for sharing! 😊
Chris, you will love them! I was very slow to try them, but when I did, I wanted them all. I bought most when they would go on sale at Joann's (2.99) or with a coupon at Hobby Lobby. I am not a crafter that has a ton of inks...just PTI cubes and my trusty Versafine Onyx and Memento Black. But I'm really glad I added these, and I like the color options, too.

DeleteI decided to get a few for now and then wait for them to go on sale. 😊 I too only have the PTI and a few other basics, the oxides remind me of the Colorbox pigment inks, plus you can do other things with them.
