Beyond The A2 Card

As a card maker, sometimes I can get stuck in a rut. Take, for example, the size of the card. I usually go for the standard A2 because it is easy to make two cards from one sheet of card stock. But oftentimes, a stamp should be the deciding factor in whether a card should be bigger or smaller.

For example, this stamp from Concord and 9th called Painted Rose is pretty big. It would be fine on an A2 card, but I decided to use an A7 card size instead. It gave me a little more room to add the patterned paper detail on the left.

This was a fast card to make, so I made three. Can you see where the upper right card looks a little different? Yeah, I had a stamping goof. But with the splattery nature of this stamp set, I made it work.

The sun is shining, and I'm feeling extra productive today. Hope your day is feeling hopeful, too.

Blessings, cafe friends!
