Happy Labor Day! The guys in my house have been working this weekend. Ha! So much for Labor Day, right? That's fine by me. I have been having a fun weekend of lazy me time. I read a great book ("The Book of Lost Friends" by Lisa Wingate. Excellent!), I watched a fun Acorn TV series on DVD (Agatha Raisin Season Two and Three...I love the English Cotswolds!), and I got started on my Christmas cards.
Christmas cards! Can you believe it?! Miss Procrastination is getting an early start this year! I have had the stamps for months, and I knew in my head how I wanted this card to look. And so far, it is coming together nicely! I think I should get around three dozen finished. And if I make them now, I am telling myself that I will NOT be tempted by new stamp company products when they release their holiday collections!
Today's card started with the kraft card base that I found in my stash, already stamped with the wood background. I think this one is from Stampin' Up. I liked it, and when I saw it, I thought "I can work with that!"
{Today's Brew: Pumpkin Season stamps and dies (Catherine Pooler), Coffee Cozy coaster die (The Greetery), Wood slices background stamp (SU), PTI card stock}
This card makes me think of football season, tailgating, and drinking warm beverages outdoors on cool nights.
Happy Monday, café friends!
Congratulations on starting your Christmas cards! It's a good feeling to get ahead of the season.
