Our church has a quilt ministry of volunteers who make quilts in their homes, and then meet once a month at church to finish them off. They enjoy a devotion and lunch and fellowship time together. Their quilts get distributed in the local community and around the world.
The sweet lady who heads up the ministry lives in my neighborhood. Her husband, who had been in hospice care, recently passed away, and I wanted to make a card that spoke to her sweet quilting heart.
I used this cover plate die from Catherine Pooler, and carefully inlaid the colored pieces with glue. The sentiment is from PTI's Graceful Greetings.
It's an extra special card that reflects the interests of the recipient, as well as her current need. Kudos to you!
