PTI Psalm Reflections

Last year, Papertrey Ink released a collection of mini stamp sets called Psalm Reflections every month. I really liked the size and typeface of the styles, and decided to get all twelve over the course of a few orders. I think they were about $4 each. I love to have good Bible verses on hand, and these looked like they'd make fast and easy cards, too. Some of them came with dies to match, which I didn't really need.

I decided to pair these with The Greetery's Sketchbook Wildflower Frame stamp, another purchase last year that was waiting to get some use.

Have you ever heard the British expression "In for a penny, in for a pound"? As long as I was going to heat emboss one background, I decided to make a half dozen instead. Silver, gold and copper!

For the first card, I did a little ink blending.

For the second card, I did a little water coloring using inkpads and a small paint brush.

And for the last card, I ink blended the edges and did a little splattering.

Simple cards for those times when you want to send a note of encouragement to a friend.

Sometimes, I make a purchase (usually with some great sale I cannot pass up) with the thought "I will use that some day!" Today was finally that day.

More Psalm Reflections cards to come soon!

  1. That frame stamp is beautiful, and it sets off the Psalms perfectly!
