The Friendliest Flower

Are there any You've Got Mail fans out there? If so, then you will no doubt remember the scene when Meg Ryan's character is sick and Tom Hanks' character brings her a bouquet of flowers.

"Don't you think daisies are the friendliest flower?" she asks.

Yes, I do.

Last summer, I planted this variety that blooms in the sweetest shade of pale, buttery yellow.

Friendly flowers!

And here's a card inspired by those blooms.

{Today's Brew: Oopsie Daisy stamps and dies (The Greetery), sentiment and die from The Greetery, Woodgrain background stamp (Catherine Pooler), Dragonfly Dreams (Stampin' Up), gold shimmer spray}

After twenty-four hours of rain, we woke to a perfect summer morning. Sunshine, blue skies, high of 80 today. Everything is so lush and lovely.

I wish I could freeze the garden right here, at its peak. But gardens, like life, change quickly, and you have to enjoy the days and appreciate the goodness of each one.

  1. Your garden is breathtakingly beautiful! What joy and peace it must bring you to see the fruits of your labor and God's creation. And the smiles your garden brings to passersby must be plentiful. Good life metaphor, too.
