I had a fun marathon crafting session yesterday and made 18 Christmas cards!
A few days ago, I began a little prep by die-cutting some sentiment strips, doily coaster cozies, and background papers.
Next, I sat down with the assortment and got busy assembling.
The inspiration came from this collection. Simple Stories Hearth and Holiday. All those little elements...cardinals, citrus slices, flowers and greenery. This is such an economical way to make cards, too. I made 18, but probably have enough papers and elements left over to make double that amount, or more.
I decided that these cards needed a coffee cup to make them happy. I chose two simple mug dies from Catherine Pooler and stamped the "coffee" swirl on each. I die-cut them using two different neutral papers from the collection.
Each card is unique, with slightly different elements and placement and layout.
I will probably add a little "bling" to these later. Maybe a few enamel dots, sequins, or some sparkly snowflake for those coffee megs.
I am in LOVE with these Mama Elephant Winter Banner Greetings dies! They are so fun and easy to use.
Sometimes, I want to get artsy with different stamping techniques. And other times, I just want a cute card that requires minimal fuss and bother. This is the latter. Are you thinking of Christmas yet? Tomorrow, I will show you my holiday meal solution!
