I have always loved the look of French toile. A classic! When I saw this holiday collection at Walmart from My Texas Home it spoke to me. It said "You don't have a house full of boys anymore. You can be a little more feminine and no one will object."
So I went for it!
I got two stockings, the matching tree skirt, and some wired velvety ribbon, and this is the result.
I added a few floral picks and ornaments from Hobby Lobby and combined them with the gold ornaments from our collection.
I haven't updated our Christmas decor in ten or twelve years, so this was a nice refresh. And who knows? I could be feeling "mad for plaid" next year. But for now, I'm loving this color palette and classic style.
